Appliance removal in Montreal, professional service priced by volume.
The new fridge arrives tomorrow, the old one is still in the 3rd-floor kitchen, and the spiral staircase scares everyone. Or the washer died in the bungalow basement and nobody's around to haul it back up. We come get the appliance, unplug it, take it out by the stairs, the elevator or the side door, and leave with it. You free up the spot for the new one without breaking your back or waiting on the city pickup, which doesn't always take large appliances.
What we haul away during your appliance removal
- Refrigerators, freezers, mini-fridges and wine coolers (refrigerants recovered through GoRecycle, recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC)
- Stoves, ovens, built-in wall ovens, cooktops and range hoods
- Washers and dryers, including stacked units that need unplugging and separating
- Dishwashers, water heaters, wall AC units and dehumidifiers
- Microwaves, toaster ovens, fryers and small countertop appliances
- TVs, monitors, computers and electronics (routed to ARPE-Québec / Recycle My Electronics)
- Old units still sitting in the basement, garage, or a tenant unit being cleared
- Several appliances at once during a kitchen renovation or a full appliance swap
How your appliance removal works
Send one or two photos of the appliance through the form, or call us, and you get a price in under 2 hours, based on the space it takes in our 10-cubic-yard truck (a standard fridge runs about 1/8). The price is confirmed before we load and held to the end, with no extras. We show up, unplug it, carry it out by the stairs or elevator, and sort it at the end: reuse, refrigerant and metal recovery, or a recovery facility. The minimum is $185.
Why bring us in for your appliance removal
An appliance isn't ordinary trash: a fridge, freezer or air conditioner contains refrigerants that have to be recovered. We route them to GoRecycle, recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC, electronics go through ARPE-Québec, and the metal goes to recycling. It's Pavel, Mickael or Justin who show up, our own crew, covered by liability insurance if a fridge slips in the stairwell. The price follows the space taken in the truck, $185 minimum, confirmed before we load.

Read our story
Ramasse Vite was founded in 2025 by three partners: Pavel, Mickael and Justin. Starting out on the South Shore, they shared the belief that junk removal could be reliable, transparent and done right. Ramasse Vite Montréal is the same crew and the same way of working, all over the island.
Our mission is simple: make junk removal and waste pickup effortless for our clients. Whether it's furniture removal, construction debris hauling, a basement or garage cleanout, or a full property clearout, we handle every project with diligence, cleanliness, punctuality, and a genuine environmental urgency. Our crew knows Montreal's realities: plexes and their outdoor staircases, back lanes, tight parking and the July 1st rush.

FAQ: appliance removal in Montreal
Do I need to unplug or empty the appliance before you arrive?
Ideally, empty the fridge or freezer and unplug it a few hours ahead so it defrosts, which avoids water on the floor. Otherwise we handle unplugging the washer, dryer or stove on site. For a water heater or a gas connection, tell us when you call so we arrive prepared.
Where do my old appliances go after pickup?
We sort everything. Refrigerators, freezers, AC units and dehumidifiers go to GoRecycle (recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC) for safe halocarbon and metal recovery. Electronics go through ARPE-Québec. A working unit can be donated, and the rest is disposed of responsibly. About 80% is diverted from landfill.
Can you bring an appliance down from a 2nd floor or a condo with an elevator?
Yes. We carry washers, dryers and fridges down tight stairs or via the elevator, that's the job. Tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator when you send the photos, so we plan the right number of people. The price depends on the space in the truck, not the number of steps.
