Deck demolition in Montreal, professional service priced by volume.
The deck in the yard has soft boards, screws backing out and a frame that leans: it has to come down before the new one goes up, or just so you get your yard back. Whether it's a small plex yard or a bungalow lot, we show up with pry bars, saws and drills, strip the decking, the joists, the railings and the ledger bolted to the wall, and leave with all the treated lumber, screws and offcuts. You're left with a clean footprint, ready for the new deck, a slab or fresh sod.
What we haul away during your deck demolition
- Decking in pressure-treated wood, cedar or composite (Trex-style), taken apart board by board
- Framing: joists, blocking, beams and the ledger bolted to the house wall
- 6x6 posts and their bases, including ones set in concrete or on sonotubes
- Railings, balusters, handrails and guardrails in wood, aluminum or glass
- Deck stairs, steps, landings and stringers
- Lattice skirting and privacy screening under the deck
- Deck screws, nails, brackets, joist hangers and lag bolts picked up in full
- Loosened sonotubes and concrete blocks hauled off the yard, plus a magnet sweep for nails in the lawn
How your deck demolition works
We look at photos or swing by the yard, confirm a price before touching anything (based on the space the lumber takes in our 10-cubic-yard truck, minimum $185, teardown, loading and disposal included). On the day, we strip the decking, break down the frame, free the ledger from the wall and pull the posts and concrete. Before we leave, we run a magnet over the ground for screws and nails, load everything, and the treated wood is disposed of responsibly since it can't go in the bin.
Why bring us in for your deck demolition
Deck demolition is done by our own crew, Pavel, Mickael or Justin on site, covered by liability insurance: if a saw catches the house siding or the shared fence, you're covered. We answer in under 2 hours, come within 24 to 48 hours, often same-day on weekdays, and the price we quote holds to the end. Treated wood doesn't go in the bin: we dispose of it responsibly. We leave a swept yard, magnet run over the lawn, no nails and no forgotten boards.

Read our story
Ramasse Vite was founded in 2025 by three partners: Pavel, Mickael and Justin. Starting out on the South Shore, they shared the belief that junk removal could be reliable, transparent and done right. Ramasse Vite Montréal is the same crew and the same way of working, all over the island.
Our mission is simple: make junk removal and waste pickup effortless for our clients. Whether it's furniture removal, construction debris hauling, a basement or garage cleanout, or a full property clearout, we handle every project with diligence, cleanliness, punctuality, and a genuine environmental urgency. Our crew knows Montreal's realities: plexes and their outdoor staircases, back lanes, tight parking and the July 1st rush.

FAQ: deck demolition in Montreal
Do you need a permit to demolish my deck?
It depends on your borough or city: the rules vary from one place to the next on the island, especially if the deck is attached to the house or elevated. Check with your borough or city before the date, and we adjust to what you confirm to us. The permit, if there is one, stays in the owner's name.
What do you do with the old treated deck wood?
Pressure-treated lumber can't go in the recycling bin or be burned: we take it to a recovery facility for proper disposal. Composite, railing metal and brackets get sorted separately. Across all our pickups we divert about 80% from landfill, and we can show you the disposal receipts.
Do you also remove the posts and concrete bases?
Yes. We pull 6x6 posts even when set in concrete, and clear out sonotubes or patio blocks. For deep poured footings, we talk it through at the quote: we confirm the price before digging so there's no surprise at the truck.
